School Year Dates
[01 July] Team Selection Begins
- Senior Tutor Benjamin Curtis organises the staff in searching for new potential for the next year of intakes.
[01 Aug - 10 Aug] New Student Interviews
- Prof. Benjamin Curtis meets with each student individually and explains the upcoming letter, and what the school is really about.
[11 Aug] Letter Delivery
- Letters under the pretence of a “school for the gifted” are sent to the new students. After the interviews however they know the truth of this message.
[19 Aug] Deadline for acceptance
- Students must send their acceptance to the University by this date.
[25 Aug – 31 Aug] Students arrive
- This is the period within which the student’s dorms will be open before the start of classes, when the new students can move in.
[1 Sept] Opening ceremony
- New students gather in the Main Hall from noon til 4pm for an initiation assembly welcoming them to Deveraux Academy.
[2 Sept] Lessons start
- Lessons begin at 8.30am.
[28-31 Oct] First Assessment
- Each team's first attempt at defeating the holographic enemy of Deveraux Academy; the new upgrade from the High School: Professor Death. (original name no?)
[19 Dec] Christmas Holidays Begin
- End of the first term allowing students to return home for the Christmas period. If they wish, they are also allowed to remain at the school.
[2 Jan] Christmas Holidays End
- Students return to Deveraux Academy after New Years day.
[3 Jan] Lessons Start
- Lessons begin at 8.30am sharp.
[20-24 Feb] Second Assessment
- Prof. Death becomes Doc. Death as he's taken on for the second time. It's another stage harder.
[5-8 June] Third Assessment
- Doc Death has had his second upgrade to Master Death. Watch your step. You'll have to use all of your abilities and strength to master the Master. Remember: failure after three attempts and it's the Mind-Wipe.
[1-7 July] Examination week
- Students have to take the tests, forcing them to show off what they can do. Examination timetables will be posted at a later date.
[15 July] Grade presentation
- Certificates in imposing big brown envelopes are sent to the students' dorms. A failing mark means the mind-wipe and expulsion.
[17 July] Graduation ceremony
- Another assembly, this time wishing the students well done on their grades and the graduation of their first year at Deveraux, rather than an introduction to the school.
[18 July] Summer Holidays Begin
- End of school year. Students return home for Summer.
