Basic Information
Full Name: Bliss Tinsley Llewyn Nickname(s): Bliss Age: 18 Hometown: Los Angeles, California
Appearance
Hair: Wavy strawberry-blonde, stops mid-back, curling out below her shoulder blades, tickling her back when it's bare. Eyes: Her eyes are the kind of blue that varies depending on lighting. Sometimes, it's a light grayish blue, and others, a dark blue. She has thick, dark eyelashes. Body: Bliss is pretty, and always has been. She has the classic pretty features with a spin, with her glamorous movie star lips. Bliss looks a lot like the mother she never knew, inheriting the willowy and statuesque figure she has only ever known in photographs. She is tall, towering over most girls her age. She has lean muscles, which is a nice way of saying she's a lot less stronger than other girls at the Academy, but she makes up for it in enthusiasm and endurance. Atleast, she hopes she does.
Usual Clothing: Bliss is a rich brat, and has rich brat clothing. She has designer bags, high heeled shoes, nice sneakers, and expensive made-to-be-ragged clothing. Sometimes she dresses like a nerd, sometimes like a bum, or maybe an athletic look, and sometimes, she just goes plain out punk or rock. Bliss just wears what she wants to wear. Distinguishing Features: Bliss has many scars, and her curiosity is to blame. She has a long white scar down her shin from cutting it on a fence, tumbling from a tree. She has a scar below her jaw from tripping over her Barbie car at six. Bliss was actually in a car crash(she decided she would try it out, even though she didn't know how, although luckily, no one was harmed), and has a scar down the side of her arm. There are less noticeable smaller ones, that have almost faded into her skin color. Bliss actually has a pretty distinguishing face, striking if not beautiful.
Family (Real)Father: Jason Campbell, 46, Actor. (Unaware not real)Father: James Llewyn, 53, Director. Her father is never around enough for Bliss to really know what he's like. He gets the idea that he can buy his daughter off with gifts and presents. He has a busy life, and he's got a big job, and Bliss accepts that, but she is getting tired of having no dad. Mother: Ashley Llewyn, Deceased. Bliss never knew her mother well, she died while giving birth. Bliss is told her mother was an exceptional person, that she was kind, beautiful and caring, and sweet, but doesn't everyone say that about a dead person? (Step)Mother: Bliss gets along fine with her step-mother, Isabella Llewyn(35). Although she is a lot younger than her father(what a big surprise!), she isn't that hard to be around, although they lack that mother-daughter connection(Isabella is convinced it's there). She is pretty, no question, Siblings: Claire Llewyn, 11, her stepmother's child from a different marriage. Claire is surprisingly plain, nothing like her mother or Bliss. When her mother got married to Bliss's father, Claire would follow Bliss around wondering why she didn't look like her. Claire is loud, and cares way too much(in Bliss's opinion) about her looks, and is always overdoing makeup and clothing, and complaining about her nose size, and how she looked fat. Other Significant Relatives: Violet Winter, 78, unemployed, Bliss's grandmother, on her mother's side. Violet appears cruel, not allowing Bliss to call her grandma, only "Violet." In truth she is, she has several tough layers that Bliss managed to worm her way through. Bliss knows that, really, honestly, her grandma is a huge softie! Short Bio: Bliss was the agreed upon name for Mr. and Mrs. Llewyn's daughter, although it was horribly inaccurate. It should have been Gloom, Grief, Curse, or Death. Because that's exactly what came when she was born. Her mother had died giving birth to Bliss, something that was unheard of in those days with the kind of doctors they had. But she died anyway, leaving her father a widow, and her child motherless. Before Bliss could be told that her father wasn't a director, but an Actor who fell in love with my mother on set. Bliss only found that out at sixteen when she was confronted by the man. There was something a bit funny about how her mother got pregnant immediately after they got married. Her "father" and mother only got six months together before she died. But it wasn't that bad, Bliss couldn't complain, even though she wanted to, and she didn't know who her real father was then, so it's not like she could have done anything.
Bliss was a celebrity from the beginning, with her mother being a famous actress, and her (alleged) father a famous director. Needless to say, they were ridiculously loaded. Yes, this little girl lived right in the middle of Tinsel town, and was one of it's bright shiny lights. Bliss was smart, something soon discovered when she spelled out words with her blocks when she was scarcely walking. Doctors were fascinated, they took brain scans of her mind and found there were more colored areas in her mind than any other child's. She's not bragging when she says she's smart, it's an understatement, but a fact. Her father and her new "mother" were determined to preserve this, so Bliss didn't go to a normal school. She had tutors that taught her beyond her level. Of course, this made getting friends a hassle. Bliss didn't have many then, she still stuck to her "parents," valueing their opinion beyond all else.
But Bliss was horribly curious, and you can't keep a star out of the light for too long, although her parents weren't aware they were doing that. She just up and went on a walk one day, and met kids her age who ultimately, poisoned the innocent mind she had at eleven. They brought out the inner-rebel inside of her, taught her that there was fun in the things they weren't allowed to do. She found more truth in that kind of stuff everyday. As she giggled watching her friend, Andy hack into files on the school computer, and change passwords and codes and messing everything up. It wasn't that she was a bad person, she just belonged, finally. She had friends. She insisted to go to school with them when she was twelve, and got her wish. Her stepmother was delighted, saying she had never been big on the whole tutoring thing in the first place. Bliss became her stepmothers perfect little daughter, making Bliss wear designer clothing, throw parties at the house that left in a state that needed repair, she gave her everything her own biological daughter didn't get. She went to parties, clubs, drank(although never smoked), and got boyfriends who were in boy bands. She was a little rebel breaking rules, remaking the system, and never, ever getting caught.
Bliss got a kick from pulling stunts, and it was probably those stunts that caused that letter to come in the mail. She was a rebel, she was spoiled, stubborn, and smart. She broke rules constantly and was never caught. I mean, there were close calls, but she was never caught. It's really sad when a fifteen year-old can hack into the whole city's TVs, and send a message about animal cruelty, and how they shouldn't do it. The "show" appeared whenever the group felt like it, coaxing Andy, her best guy friend, into showing messages about the Mayor and his various girlfriends, or making fun of random people. Really, she was just desperate for attention. Her wish was granted at sixteen when she found out about her real dad. It stopped the eternal craving she had had for her "father's" attention, and therefore ended the crazy stunts she pulled like diving off a cliff, or breaking the school apart and throwing it into chaos. Bliss finally felt at peace. But not for long. Two days after her "father" heard the truth, Jason Campbell went missing.
Friends
Team Members: ? Best Friend: None so far at the new school, although Andy was her best friend earlier. Other Friends: None so far here, although she had several at her previous school. Girlfriend/Boyfriend(?): None so far, caught her boyfriend cheating and it was off with his head! School Popularity: Bliss would probably be somewhere around 7 or 8(Although most guys will probably say 10 immediately, and some girls would say 2 out of mere jealousy). Because her name doesn't really lie about her attitude. She's friendly, outgoing, creative, will make a fool of herself just to make someone smile, but is stubborn in a quiet sort of way. She won't protest in words what you say or do, although her actions will go against yours, if she does not see your logic(she might continue to anyway, if she doesn't agree). She is willful, and has her own agenda, so you may wake up to find her gone to work on the mission herself. If you make fun of her friends, or do anything negative to them whatsoever, there will be consequences, and Bliss doesn't care who you are, she will get revenge for them, if they don't get it themselves. Some people also despise her because she's so smart, but Bliss doesn't flaunt it, so it's not as obvious. So you see, it's kind of like a two way picture. Don't be mean and you have nothing to worry about!
Other Information
Subjects You Character Takes: Biology Chemistry Physics Extreme Sports Athletics Best Subject: Bliss excels at all academic or smarty related subjects, and loves sports, although she isn't the best. Bliss has a passion for languages, oddly enough(considering how she only tolerates language arts enough to do the work), and loves to speak in different languages Worst Subject: Bliss hates anything writing related. She hates learning about terms and definitions, how the way she thinks is unacceptable, because when she hears a word, a picture pops into her mind instead of the quote from the book. She hates this subject, and she hates anything related to it(Other than other languages). It's not that she hates reading(she likes to reading fine), she just hates those classes. Specific Skills: Maybe she inherited it from her mother, but Bliss can act! She can make someone believe in almost anything. Sometimes for Bliss, telling lies are easier than the truth, and so she does it without a blink. She's smart, and is that one person in every group that has good aim. Okay, this may not be considered a skill by some, but because Bliss is mucho gorgeous, she can get into places by batting eyelashes at foolish bodyguards. Personality: The handmade blade, the child's balloon;; Bliss is friendly, outgoing, and charming. Her acting skills allow her to be anyone necessary, to please anyone if she wants to. But she isn't going to treat everybody as if they are her best friend. She's goofy, can be the one counted on to randomly hug somebody, which leads to her next debatably good trait. She can be over-friendly, kissing a guy full on the lips as a greeting, or sitting on someone's lap instead of taking a seat. But this is just because this was considered appropriate behavior in the pretty city before shock suits. Bliss is the eager, enthusiastic one, who looks at trudging several miles in snow as an adventure. Sometimes she doesn't take moments or people seriously.
Goodness hides behind its gates;; Bliss is a vengeful creature. If you hit her, she will hit you. I don't know if you'd consider this short-tempered, because, what is being short tempered really? You wouldn't guess Bliss is angry when she is, unless she blows up and yells. But normally, there is just a tightness to her eyes, and her mouth closes, but she'll come back later, and you will wish you hadn't crossed paths with Bliss. She has her dignity and pride, and can get egged on easily. She is a strong believer in the cold shoulder, so don't expect any witty comments from her if you wound her pride. She's competitive, and can be a bit of a sore loser when she loses a contest, or something that qualified as a contest in her mind, because she expects nothing but the best from herself. Bliss is trying to work through this chink in her armor though. If you do make Bliss mad, and you do get in a fight with her, I am truly afraid for you. Bliss is slightly vain, aware in the way all girls are of their features. It is just another fact of her life that guys would stare, and girlfriends would give her the evil eye for involuntarily making guys look at her in a star-struck fashion. Not that she's complaining, it comes in handy that she flutter her eyelashes and get what she wants.
Disillusioned words like bullets bark;; Bliss has her own agenda, which is a pretty way of saying, your words don't mean anything to her if she has her mind set on it. She is stubborn, if she wants something, she'll get it. Bliss is curious, which is a debatable bad trait, although too often does it end up being one. She has gotten all of her scars from her curiosity(she has about ten), and has been in several near-death experiences that Bliss just shrugged off, and pretended never happened. Bliss managed to convince herself that she didn't deserve ordinary things as a child, so she shuts down whenever things get to close, and she might get hurt. Bliss often lies about her past for no reason, saying she did stuff she didn't. It keeps people from getting close.
Sample Roleplay:
Bliss touched her feet carefully to the ground. No sound. Good. Isabella was fast asleep in the other room, and was convinced, that Bliss, of all people, needed babysitting. Bliss would have given an exaggerated sigh had she not been doing this particular thing at this particular moment. Well, Bliss always had to leave at this particular moment, because a particular stepmother still believed a particular daughter was as innocent as can be, and didn't have anything at all to do with a set of particular stunts that were pissing off the authorities. She was friends with rich kids who could hack into both FBI and CIA files successfully without being caught, but this was a well kept secret among the group of friends, the fact that they, the stars of Tinsel town, committed crimes, whoever small they may be. Bliss walked on the balls of her feet, as she had done almost everyday of her whole life. It was almost scripted by now.
Tiptoe to edge of room. Pick up backpack. Hold gingerly away fom body to avoid unwanted clanks and noises. Walk to down stairs carefully. Avoid the seventh, second, and fifteenth stairs-which creaked painfully loudly. Glance back to make sure no one woke when you got to the floor.
That was as far as she got. Bliss jumped ten feet in the air when a hand grasped her shoulder. “Bliss.” Came a voice, that instantly made the jaw that Bliss did not realize she had been clenching relax. Her shoulders lowered, eased. Bliss whirled around, an accusation on her lips.
“Claire!” Bliss yelled whispered, her heart beating madly. “You gave me the scare of my life!” she continued in a hushed, angry tone. Claire’s face was calm, and as usual, caked in makeup in an attempt to produce something along the lines of Bliss’s porcelain skin, and rasberry lips. Claire was so plain, it was almost sad. Isabella, Claire’s mother and Bliss’s stepmother, was always giving Claire little nagging comments on her lack of beauty. The dialogue that usually ensued was something like this:
Isabella: (Annoyed) “Ugh. You’re not planning on wearing that, are you?” Claire: (Surprised, looks down at self) “Why? I thought it was cute.” Bliss: (Rolling eyeballs extremely well) Isabella: (Snort, Disdain on daughter) “It makes you look fat, and your hair look pukey colored.” Claire: (about to speak) “Bu-“ Isabella: (continuing) “Look at Bliss, honey. She has the right figure for that. You don’t.” Bliss: (Coughs, makes a face behind Isabella's back)
It surprised Bliss exactly how much a mother could be a bitch to her child. It’s amazing. It went like this a lot in the house, Isabella praising Bliss’s looks to the high heavens, while her own daughter got the short end of the bargain. To be honest, Bliss wasn’t flattered. She was’t going to pretend she wasn’t pretty, because she thought false modesty was beyond annoying. It didn't take an idiot to realize when all guys stare at you, and girlfriends turned jealous eyes, and forced their boyfriend's gaze away from your butt, that you weren't exactly hard to look at. And Bliss was far from an idiot. But still, it puts a damper on a compliment when you watch someone else get hurt right in front of you. And Bliss was never that big on compliments anyway.
Claire wasn't ugly, just plain. She had grown impervious to it now, it seemed, she no longer cared. But the makeup and the clothing fought it. Claire ignored her comment. "Where are you going? You leave every night for the same place." So she'd underestimated the midget. But no biggy, Bliss had back up plans.
She spoke slowly, biting her lip, looking nervous. "I have a secret boyfriend." Bliss furrowed her eyebrows, then stricken, horrified. "You won't tell will you?" She yelled whispered, almost raising her voice to an audible volume to someone more than two feet away. It added to the performance. Claire quickly shook her head, her gaze dumbfounded. But she seemed proud of this small responsibility Bliss had given her, straightening her shoulders, and raising her chin. The responsibility couldn't have gotten any smaller. Bliss would deny any reference to this in the future(Although she did have several boyfriends), it didn't matter anyway because there wasn't one in the first place.
She had much better stuff to do than sneak in a smooch with the hubby. Besides, she could do that in a much better fashion. This child was obviously no genius. Bliss gave her a small tentative smile, and eased open the front door, slipping out into the dark cover of night. Bliss pulled her arms through the straps, no longer afraid of making too much noise. The next part was easy, it was once hard, but now she could do it without a hitch.
Bliss took out the small remote in her backpack pocket. It had a blue covering, and had the shape of a cellphone, because previously, it was once. Thank God for Andy, her best genius friend ever. Bliss pressed several buttons in a memorized combination that was his birthday. Self centered jerk, she thought, but it was with a smile. The security cameras stopped recording and stayed on the same picture. A task that was all too easy, and she had done several times already. This was not very comforting. But her family couldn't know about this.
Bliss pushed the 'call' button, and the gate swung open, and swiftly closed as she left. She was out. Bliss ran quickly, and touched her hoverboard to the ground. It was time for some fun that did not involve being cooped in all day. And that the police would not be particularly happy about. No, not at all. She pulled something out of her backpack, a large silver oval, that was once a skateboard, but had been rebuilt by Andy to be of use that didn't require pushing off against the ground. Bliss pushed the button on the side, and hopped onto it's smooth flooring, with grips on the sides. She crouched low as it began to speed, taking to the air, Bliss leaning forward, to coax it to go faster. The night welcomed her like an old companion, a world full of possibilities, that Bliss was all too eager to try.
